This week I decided to update my half bath on my main level by painting it. I have a few new paint colors picked out for my house and am taking one room at a time and updating. One of the main changes I wanted to make in this bathroom was the cabinet. I love white cabinets in bathrooms and decided to paint mine. Here is my redo in LOTS of pictures. :)
Before: An off white color make this bathroom look dated along with the oak cabinet. Don't get me wrong, I love oak cabinets. I was just ready for a change in here. :)
I started by removing all hardware from the cabinet then LIGHTLY sanded with a medium grit sanding block. No need to sand completely because we will be using deglosser in a moment.
Wipe deglosser/liquid sander all over cabinet. Remember, you are not applying to remove all of the varnish. Just make sure you apply to cover.
Primer is next. A thin coat all over the cabinet will do.
I painted and primed the doors in the garage. And I must say, these little painter's pyramids are amazing! Click HERE
Next, I applied 2 coats of Vaslpar Latex in Gloss White. This is a ready to buy paint and was perfect for the cabinet.
Love my paint tray?!

Here is the AFTER: I painted the walls Sherwin Williams Sea Salt. I love how it turned out!
After I finished painting, I added a shelf in my laundry room! Click HERE to be taken to that post! I believe the next painting project will be my dining room and piano room!
